What we collect
When you submit a Google Maps list, Map Club collects the link, the destination you chose, your mobile number, and the fact that you agreed to be texted, with the date and the wording you agreed to.
What we use it for
Your mobile number is used to tell you we received your submission, to tell you what Map Check decided, to send you a secure link to the maps you requested, and to send you a new link when you ask for one because the old one expired. Nothing else.
Message frequency varies, usually up to four messages per submission. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help.
SMS and mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Mobile numbers and SMS consent information are never sold, rented, or licensed to anyone. Map Club does not send marketing texts and does not use your mobile number for any purpose other than the messages described above.

Service providers
Twilio is our SMS provider and processes your mobile number solely to deliver our messages to your phone. Our hosting and database providers store the site and its data. These companies are service providers acting on our instructions under contract. They receive only what is necessary to run the service, may not use it for their own purposes, and do not receive your mobile information or SMS consent data for marketing or promotional purposes.
How it is stored
Your number is encrypted before it is stored, and is looked up through a keyed value rather than the number itself. Ordinary administrative screens show only the last four digits. These measures reduce risk. No service can promise absolute security, and we do not.
Keeping and removing it
We keep your submission and the record of what you unlocked so your access keeps working. Reply STOP at any time and we will stop texting you. Your existing access is not taken away when you do.
